The Launch of My New Exhibition in Seoul: Exploring IDENTITY

Updated: Aug 23

An Invitation to Showcase My Work

I'm thrilled to announce the launch of a new body of work in the vibrant capital of South Korea—Seoul. This exhibition brings together 100 international artists, all curated under the thought-provoking theme of IDENTITY. I’ve been invited to participate in the 'meet the masters' section, showcasing a selection of new drawings and small sculptures from my Familiar or Animism series.

These pieces feature human heads with animal characteristics. They pose an intriguing question: if we have a spirit animal, do animals have a spirit human? This exploration of identity through art is something I’m passionate about.

The Concept Behind My Work

This new stream of studio work is designed with galleries and collectors in mind. I aimed for an accessible scale and price point, making it easier for art lovers to engage with my creations. Imagine the size of a sparrow compared to that of a whale. Each artwork has a partner that reflects the scale of either the human head or the animal. These pieces will exist both as drawings and, when the scale allows, as sculptures.

The idea is to create a dialogue between the human and animal forms, inviting viewers to reflect on their own identities and connections to the natural world.

A Month of Contemporary Art in Seoul

This exhibition is part of an exciting month of contemporary art in Seoul. Alongside my work, Frieze and many other art events will be taking place throughout the city. It’s a fantastic time to immerse oneself in the world of contemporary art.

The exhibition is curated by Natalia Gryniuk from Musa International and K_Art_International, who have done a remarkable job in bringing together such a diverse group of artists.

Exhibition Details

Exhibition Dates: 4th - 8th September 2025

Location: INSA ART CENTRE, Contemporary Art Museum, Seoul, South Korea.

I can’t wait to share this experience with everyone. It’s an opportunity to connect with fellow artists and art enthusiasts, and I hope to inspire conversations about identity through my work.

Looking Ahead

As I prepare for this exhibition, I reflect on my journey as an artist. Each piece I create is a step towards establishing myself as a leading contemporary British artist. My goal is to expand the reach of my distinctive charcoal drawings, public art, and sculptures to a wider audience. I’m also focused on growing direct sales of my original artworks and prints.

Art has the power to connect us, to tell stories, and to evoke emotions. I believe that my work can resonate with many, and I’m excited to see how it will be received in Seoul.

Join Me on This Artistic Journey

I invite you to follow along as I navigate this artistic journey. Whether you’re an art collector, a public art commissioner, or simply an art enthusiast, there’s something for everyone in this exhibition.

For more information, you can check out my press release for additional details about the exhibition and my work.

I look forward to seeing you there!
