A dark piece from the bottom of the ocean in 2016.  The last of the mermaid and angel series. A piece about seduction and betrayal and the end of the artist's relationship with his muse. The octopus echoes Japanese erotica and the passive aggressive slow seduction and inevitable consumption of old mermaid. Note the heart shaped suckers on the tentacles and the eye pupil, the heart shaped formed by the tentacles on the mermaids tail. The non traditinal depiction of an older mermaid is both portrait of a muse and reference to the artworks title.
