Some drawings come from inside when the brain tries to make sense using the vocabulary of the known. The is whole library on anthropomorphic and the mythology of animal humans, and human animals..

I guess this falls under my 'Familiar' series, when I am increasingly trying to connect or picture other ways of being, through the tradition of morphing the human and the animal to express that which words and emotions cannot always picture.

The Lampuki is a particular looking fish, that can be found around the warmer oceans and seas, often called the dolphin fish, it shoals and migrates across the Med, creating a season or feast for the Maltese islands.

This piece is unframed at the moment. Can be viewed in person on request. I will be creating a series of these Lampuki drawings, in the hope they will also afford my return to Malta.

Please commission a small Lampuki drawing or print to help me on my travels, for inspiration.
