This is number seven in the Seagull & Sailor series of drawings. It follows the martime mythology that every seagull is the soul of a dead sailor. The series was created in as part of an Artist Residency in Gosport - 'God's Port' in the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour, and were inspired by the daily ferry ride across the harbour with the seagull and the incredible maritime heritage of the area.  The last image shows the the original drawings insitu in the gallery. The original drawings are approx. 8x4ft. Some of these are still avaible if interested take a look at the 'Large Drawings' in the Menu.
