Pete Codling is a British contemporary artist specialising in large-scale figurative charcoal drawing, sculpture and public art. Based in Portsmouth, his work explores identity, migration, collective memory and the relationship between people and place. Major drawing projects include CROWD, a monumental drawing on a ship’s sail, and Kinship, developed through a partnership involving the National Portrait Gallery and Southampton City Art Gallery.
