This large drawing 2.4m x 1.4m is the fourth in the Seagull and Sailor series created as artist in Residence at Gosport Gallery with Hampshire County Council & Parntership Arts.

Here the sailor is at rest at the bottom of the sea in the company of two mermaids and the dolphin. Note the fish on this chest that was held in his hand in other the drawings and the floating hair on his beard. The dark merky waters of the Solent harbour and the peaceful scene make this a calm passive image, suitable for a living room or bedroom. This has been much admired by several navy marine divers who have been touched by subject matter and their sometimes very difficult job of recovering sailors from wrecks. The resserection drawing that follows this was very popular, exhibited in London Art Fair and sold to a private collector.

This drawing is currently framed and on loan for a show home interior as shown in the photos and can be seen insitu on resquest. Other drawings from this series are in private collections in Hawaii, and Lovedean Hampshire, and Southsea UK. The other remaining 3 are still avaible.

Also available here in various smaller sizes as limited edition gilcee prints.
